, publisher of the leading business media brands Inc. and Fast Company, announced today that Cathryn Cronin Cranston has been named Executive Vice President of Strategy and Sales Development, effective November 6. ), where she served as publisher. She was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing, related partnering and branding activities, and online strategy and sales. During her nearly 6-year tenure as publisher, Cranston was instrumental in tapping new sources of ad revenue, cultivating new categories, and creating new marketplaces for HBR. She reorganized sales and marketing to focus on effectively selling the magazine's content and audience, while building a consistent image and context for the brand in all markets and at all customer touch points. She was responsible for hbr.org's recently launched online advertising marketplace.
