His area of expertise is systematic theology, with a special interest in issues of science, cosmology, ecology, and reconciling evolution and ("The Cardinal & Darwin," August 12) for responding to Cardinal Christoph Schonborn's "fearful and defensive" op-ed piece in the July 7 New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of Times. Catholics should know that there is a positive way of viewing evolution that is consistent with and evocative e·voc·a·tive adj. Tending or having the power to evoke. e·voc a·tive·ly adv. of the Catholic faith.
In his writings, Haught has consistently maintained that science and
religion are distinct ways of knowing the world, that they do not
contradict one another, and that they can, in fact, inspire one another.
Problems arise when religious people challenge scientists' views of
the world, or vice versa VICE VERSA. On the contrary; on opposite sides. . The debate about "intelligent
design" is a perfect example of such a misguided
