He resides in Antelias, Beirut. Born Pedros Keshishian in Beirut, Lebanon in 1947. Beyond this, it is meant to convey an idea of absolute and inherent worth that does not need to be acquired and , representing a source and model of the culture of coexistence and moral values.During a seminar held at Qalamoon University with Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun, Catholicos Aram I pointed out that Islamic-Christian dialogue is a state of life and coexistence that touches upon the lives of peoples and brings them together, noting that variety is a distinguishing feature of the region's societies.He called for deepening the mutual moral values of religions, improving methods of dealing with challenges and bolstering coexistence, in addition to calling for adopting tolerance and peace, rejecting racism, intolerance and injustice, and respecting the differences of others.Aram I affirmed that he believes that Islam and Christianity can ease the level of violence in societies and neutralize it, saying that true justice is the source of peace and that there can be no peace without justice, pointing out that the Israeli occupation of Arab lands and Israel's disrespect for the rights of Palestinians are prominent examples of injustice.The Catholicos concluded by affirming that Syria is showing considerable interest in education and universities, which are the best place to confront scientific and intellectual challenges.For his part, Hassoun stressed that dialogue is the best method for confronting challenges, noting that Syria's national unity enriched the country. He also called on youths to adopt the ethics of dialogue and science, noting that science without a humane culture is incomplete and useless. H.
