However, at Xavier, university authorities allowed the play to take place in a class instead of the theater.

Students and faculty at 656 colleges worldwide requested the rights to present the play in February and March, 2003. Some 35 of those were Catholic institutions in the US. At least 28 US Catholic colleges showed the play last year. The play celebrates female sexuality while decrying violence against women.
