Joe Clark, Federal leader of the Progressive Conservatives and MP for Calgary Centre, has been invited by the St. Thomas More Guild of Toronto to address the lawyers guild after the upcoming September Red Mass. Clark is pro-abortion and pro-"gay," but, do they care?

Stephen Lewis has been invited as guest speaker at the Providence Continuing Care Centre Foundations' fundraising dinner on September 12, 2002, in Kingston. Documentation of Lewis' well-known pro-abortion stance was sent by letter to the V.P. of Development and Community Relations of the organization, Mr. Timothy Brown. In his return letter, Mr. Brown acknowledged Mr. Lewis' record on abortion but said "that given the nature of the topic and the endorsement of the Canadian Health Association, the Providence Continuing Care Centre Foundation will continue with its plans to have Mr. Lewis speak." So much for Catholicism at that hospital.

The "gay" drive for prominence at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto, is having an effect. "Positive Space" stickers, symbols for the acceptance of the sodomite lifestyle, have proliferated on faculty doors, including one on the door of the new principal, Dr. Mark McGowan, one on the Registrar's door, and a big one on the Registrar's Office. The Dean of St. Joseph's (women's) College is also in favour. Students, however, are opposing it.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association's support for Marc Hall was described in our July/August edition. The April 2002, issue of Highlights, the bulletin of the Union's Toronto Secondary Unit, contains a puff piece promoting "Supporting our youth," described as an "innovative project that seeks to engage the interest and energy of the adult lesbian, gay, and transgender community in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth." The innovator of this project--who claims to have signed up 25 students and sponsors--is retired Catholic High School principal Stan Kutz, a former priest, who married, was divorced, and who now lives with a homosexual partner. No wonder that "gay" activists among OECTA's members saw fit to enter a schoolbus from the Catholic School Board in Toronto's "Gay Pride Day" parade this year as a token of their commitment.
