In October 2004, a third-year student was fired as a residence supervisor because he refused to agree to stop making condoms available in the dorm. Dean of Students, Mary Carol Waiters explained--according to the Toronto Star--that, as a Catholic college King's could absolutely not distribute birth control products. However, she then added: "We know students have condoms and we are quick to tell them where they are available and we encourage peer health education (Star, Nov. 5, 2004).
