The Catholic School of Evangelization in Manitoba has taken up the call from Pope John Paul II for a new evangelization. Opened in the fall of 1992, with the blessing of then Archbishop Antoine Hacault (Archdiocese of St. Boniface Boniface (bŏn`əfās), d. 432, Roman general. He defended (413) Marseilles against the Visigoths under Ataulf. Having supported Galla Placidia in her struggle with her brother, Emperor Honorius, Boniface fled to Africa in 422. , Manitoba), the CSE (Certified Systems Engineer) See Microsoft certification.  has grown much in many different areas in the short ten years it has existed.

The primary purpose of the CSE is the one year Adult Formation program that allows the students to grow in their relationship with Jesus, delve into the richness of the Catholic faith, and integrate what they have learned into their daily life. The above quote from John Paul II John Paul II, 1920–2005, pope (1978–2005), a Pole (b. Wadowice) named Karol Józef Wojtyła; successor of John Paul I. He was the first non-Italian pope elected since the Dutch Adrian VI (1522–23) and the first Polish and Slavic pope.  describes the ever-growing vision of the school very well. We believe that as one comes to know, love and serve Christ and His Church, one becomes an effective bearer of the Gospel. Through the structured prayer life, community living, study and outreach ministry the students are encouraged to "put out into the deep", trusting in Christ's words: Duc in altum!

Through the victories and trials of community life and prayer, the students learn how to communicate with others, to forgive and ask for forgiveness, in essence, to love. This lesson in love is transmitted outwardly through the apostolic outreach program -- a time set aside for students to work with the mentally challenged or at the local retirement home.

45 minutes south of Winnipeg. It was basically donated. The CSE depends greatly on donations. This in itself is a teaching tool for all who enter into the school, for they learn to appreciate the smallest objects and services that are donated.

This year 2002-2003, there is an exciting new development that the CSE is providing through the 2002/ 03 Adult Formation Program. Students are able to study Catholic doctrine, participate in hands-on social justice work projects, and integrate studies towards a Canadian Certificate of Youth Ministry. An additional optional activity will be a mission trip to South/Central America, which will be time of pilgrimage and service.

The CSE also offers the following activities.

-- JOLT is an evening of energetic music aimed at youth that focuses on prayer and praise. JOLT happens every month in Winnipeg.

-- Summer and Winter Camps provide youth from the ages of 5 to 18 an experience to grow in their relationship with Jesus while enjoying a fun time.

-- A weekly two-hour Christian Music radio program.

-- Agnus Dei Ministries are a team of young adults working together on a permanent outreach team. They are available year round to provide retreat, youth ministry support, and other services as needed as needed prn. See prn order. .
