 - Catholic Relief Services Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international relief and development agency of the U.S. Catholic community. Founded in 1943 by the U.S. bishops, the agency provides assistance to 80 million people in 99 countries and territories in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the  are addressing the issue of young people in the Gaza Strip who were born under occupation and live within the confines of siege. Funded by CAFOD CAFOD Catholic Agency for Overseas Development  and with the presence of the Regional Director for Catholic Relief in Palestine and the UNRWA UNRWA United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East  director of operations, youth conference have been invited to a conference under the theme Youth and the Possibilities of Change. Omar Shaban, director of Catholic Relief Services, said at the beginning of the conference that the role of youth is crucial in bringing positive change. He said, These efforts are in the national interest because youth are the hope of the future and are the infrastructure for change. Matthew Davis, speaking as the Regional Director for Catholic Relief in Palestine, expressed pride for the conference, and stressed that his organization will continue programs and projects in the Strip to mitigate the impact of the Israeli aggression and the reality of the siege. The UNRWA director of operations in the Gaza Strip added, Some portray the Gaza Strip to the outside world as bad, as if the people do not deserve assistance, but we work to deliver the right image for the people of the Gaza Strip."
