Catholic Purchasing Services, Inc. Acquires ACOM's EZeDocs for Windows to Support Centralized Volume-Buying for Religious and Non-Profit Organizations.

Catholic Purchasing Services, Inc., Newton, Massachusetts The City of Newton in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, is an important residential suburb of Boston, which abuts it on the east.  Solutions' EZeDocs for Windows(TM) document output management solution to support its centralized volume-buying service for some 42,000 religious and non-profit organizations, it was announced jointly today by Assistant Controller Jerry Kennedy and Gregory T. Church, ACOM vice president of marketing, communications and product management.

Catholic Purchasing provides non-profit and religious organizations of any faith with a single entity for ordering and paying for products as well as manages the details of the orders. Orders route through Catholic Purchasing, which processes them and sends them to the respective vendors. Vendors drop-ship the merchandise directly to the customers. Catholic Purchasing invoices them and pays the vendors.

EZeDocs for Windows replaces an earlier electronic document solution, ACOM's EZPrint/400, which ran in the IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  iSeries (AS/400) environment. Catholic Purchasing acquired the new solution when it converted its back office operations to an expanded Microsoft NT network and new database and applications software. ), and the Dealer Station real time ecommerce solution, DDMS edition, which facilitates direct customer ordering over the web. EZeDocs for Windows integrates directly and seamlessly with the new applications software.
