Catholic Healthcare West Completes Multi-Suite Lawson Implementation at 17 Facilities on Time, on Budget; Lawson Products Enable Non-Profit Healthcare Provider to Manage Its Employee, Financial and Supply Resources More Efficiently.

SAN DIEGO -- Lawson Software's (Nasdaq:LWSN) Supply Chain Management, Financial, Payroll, and Human Resources suites are enabling Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) to streamline and unify core business processes, helping the organization optimize operating performance. CHW implemented the products on time and on budget at 17 of its 40 facilities to date.

CHW spans a service area that encompasses parts of Arizona, Nevada and most of California. It is the largest not-for-profit health care provider in California and the largest Catholic hospital system in the western part of the United States.

CHW, with assistance from Lawson Professional Services, will complete deployment of the integrated ERP system in a four-phased implementation process. The pilot phase focused on implementing the products at seven of CHW's facilities and was completed in December 2003. CHW completed Phase One in April 2005, with the Lawson products implemented at an additional ten facilities. Phase One included Arizona's St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, CHW's largest hospital with 535 licensed beds and almost 350,000 annual patient visits and admissions. CHW will continue to roll out the system to its remaining 23 facilities over the next two years.

CHW's main goals for the Lawson system include consolidating its financial, supply chain, human resources and payroll systems infrastructure, standardizing business processes and creating a central information repository. According to Canning, the Lawson products already are improving the accuracy of CHW's key purchasing and financial data, making it easier for staff to order supplies, determine compliance with supply contracts, access information and generate reports.
