"We wanted to replace our fragmented operating model Operating Model is a term that is used in many contexts. In essence an operating model describes how an organization operates across both business and technology domains. The Operating Model describes what is important for the organization.  with standardized business processes and integrated IT systems to optimize performance across all of our facilities," said Catholic Healthcare West's Vice President of Administrative Services Rick Canning. "Lawson's implementation process model and strong professional services support have been key factors in the success of our ongoing deployment, with everyone committed to a single project plan and communications strategy. CHW's main goals for the Lawson system include consolidating its financial, supply chain, human resources and payroll systems infrastructure, standardizing business processes and creating a central information repository. According to Canning, the Lawson products already are improving the accuracy of CHW's key purchasing and financial data, making it easier for staff to order supplies, determine compliance with supply contracts, access information and generate reports.

"Through our collaborative approach and healthcare expertise, we're using industry-leading and Lawson-specific best practices to help CHW achieve measurable business benefits."
