Catholic Health Midwest's Information System Selects QuadraMed's MPIspy as Patient Data Integrity Solution; Alverno to Use Product to Strengthen Data Integrity in Seven Hospitals.

QuadraMed Corp. (Nasdaq SmallCap: QMDC) announced today that Catholic Health Midwest's Alverno Information Services See Information Systems.  division has selected QuadraMed's MPIspy(TM) for use in improving the accuracy of patient information in its master patient index In medical systems the Master Patient Index (MPI) is an index referencing all patients known to an area, enterprise or organization. The terms Patient Master Index (PMI) and Master Person Index are used interchangeably.  (MPI MPI - Message Passing Interface ) for its seven-hospital network in Indiana and Illinois.

MPIspy is a sophisticated software program that performs a complex record-matching process to detect duplicate medical records using QuadraMed's proprietary probabilistic (probability) probabilistic - Relating to, or governed by, probability. The behaviour of a probabilistic system cannot be predicted exactly but the probability of certain behaviours is known.
