RALEIGH, NC Catherine Rhieu McGonigle, formerly of New Bern New Bern, city (1990 pop. 17,363), seat of Craven co., E N.C., a port and trading center at the junction of the Neuse and Trent rivers; inc. 1723. There is lumbering and food processing, and textiles and clothing, pharmaceuticals, asphalt, metal and plastic products, , NC, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by her family. She was born 86 years ago in Worcester, MA to the late Davis Frank and Margaret OLeary Rhieu.

Catherine graduated from South High School and attended Salter Secretarial School. She worked in the insurance field and for the US Department of the Navy prior to devoting 32 years of service to Annunciation Annunciation

Catherine is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Thomas E. McGonigle. She is survived by daughters, Cathy Hamill and husband, Dr. M. Bowes Hamill of Houston, TX, Carol Fogartie and husband, Dr. James E. Fogartie of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rhieu of Worcester, MA. Also surviving are her five beloved grandchildren, Scott and Eric Hamill, James, Douglass and Kathryn Fogartie as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 3, 2007 in the chapel at Saint Raphael the Archangel archangel, in religion
archangel (ärk`ānjəl), chief angel. They are four to seven in number. Sometimes specific functions are ascribed to them. The four best known in Christian tradition are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel.
 Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Road Falls of Neuse Road is an open and public street for the passage of vehicles and peoples in Raleigh, North Carolina. It begins where "Old Wake Forest Road" turns off to the right (northbound) at Capital Bank (and a Food Lion shopping center). , Raleigh. Internment will follow on Monday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m at Saint Johns Cemetery in Worcester, MA.
