morning. He also offered a smile and a handshake handshake - handshaking  to building occupants that he previously had not met.

"This is a way of getting to meet the tenants in a casual way, instead of responding to a complaint or a formal visit," said Wachtler, who planned a series of similar breakfasts in the coming weeks for tenants of the other buildings in his seven property portfolio.

Tenants arriving for work at the 80,000 s/f 115 Broadhollow, WKE's flagship holding, were greeted by Wachtler and WKE WKE Worksheet (File Name Extension)  Assistant Property Manager Jeanine Ercolano with a breakfast spread that filled the lobby of the Melville building.

The gesture of goodwill by Wachtler, who took over management of the building after they were acquired in December by an affiliate of Great Neck-based Sterling Equities, garnered words of appreciation from those who stopped for a bite. Wachtler also received kudos for responding quickly to a complaint about a restroom and the event may have helped him to lease a small empty space to an existing tenant in the building. Vendors also were on hand to address any potential complaints directed toward them.

"It was definitely worth it," Wachtler said.
