Catechism of the Catholic Church. (Updates).

* Pope John Paul has commissioned the publication of a compendium of the Catechism catechism (kăt`əkĭzəm) [Gr.,=oral instruction], originally oral instruction in religion, later written instruction. Catechisms are usually written in the form of questions and answers. Almost as old as Christianity, they were used especially for the instruction of converts and children. of the Catholic Church. A compendium presents the essential and basic elements of the Catholic faith and morals in shortened but comprehensive form.
