Det Con Russ Conlon quite rightly points out that the value of the theft of flowers and sentimental items may be low, but the emotional impact on the victims can be huge. It has come to something when one family is to set up a shrine in their own garden so they feel safe away from the vandals and thieves. People visit cemeteries all the time. If they suspect someone is stealing from a grave then make a note of their descriptions along with the registration number of a vehicle they may be using and call the police.
