Catch Curve Adds DICOM (owner of TOPCALL), FaxBack and RingCentral as New Licensees.ATLANTA -- Catch Curve, Inc., an intellectual property development and licensing firm, today announced that DICOM (medical, standard) DICOM - (From Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine) A standard developed by ACR-NEMA (American College of Radiology - National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) for communications between medical imaging devices. Group (owner of TOPCALL International), FaxBack, Inc. and RingCentral Inc. have each taken licenses to the AudioFAX[TM] patent portfolio. The license with DICOM settles a patent infringement lawsuit, and the license with FaxBack is an enhanced license. Specific terms of the licenses are confidential. The AudioFAX patents cover a broad range of inventions that incorporate fax store-and-forward technologies. These technologies are used in products and services such as fax-to-email, fax broadcasting, fax-on-demand and "real-time" fax over the Internet. Since its inception, the AudioFAX Patent Licensing Program has licensed this technology to over 50 companies, including AT&T, MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device.
