CIC was established in 1972 through the efforts of the Wrigley and Offield families. . The Glendale Y has operated the 3.5-acre, 30-cabin facility on Buttonshell Beach for 80 years. The conservancy questions the Y's fiscal ability to continue to keep up the facility, which currently requires $1.2 million in maintenance for septic septic /sep·tic/ (sep´tik) pertaining to sepsis.
