Livingston joins the company from Celestial Seasonings Inc., the largest manufacturer of specialty tea products in the United States. As chief financial officer, he successfully completed the company's initial public offering in 1993.

From 1989 to 1993, he was vice president and chief financial officer of Kenetech Corp., an independent power producer. Prior to that, he held middle-management financial positions at Genentech Inc., a leading biotechnology company.
