Cat is not going to come back; CONCERT.

By NAOMI Naomi (nāō`mē, –mī, nā`ō–), in the Bible, Ruth's mother-in-law.  McELROY CAT Stevens Yusuf Islam[1] (born Steven Demetre Georgiou on 21 July, 1948 in London), who was known as Cat Stevens from 1966 to 1978, is an English musician, singer-songwriter, educator, philanthropist and prominent convert to Islam.  has slammed fans who booed him at a concert last Sunday.

The singer, now called Yusuf Islam, said they should have known he was going to perform new songs at the recent show at Dublin's O2.

He added: "Not to expect me to sing my favourite new songs from two carefully and thoughtfully created albums and demand a 'beam me up Scotty' return to the Cat Stevens persona of yesterday is more than any amount of imagination I can hope for."

Angry fans booed the devoutly Muslim singer whenever he tried to perform a new song.

And dozens stormed out in rage when, instead of singing his greatest hits himself, he introduced a 30-minute musical interlude interlude, development in the late 15th cent. of the English medieval morality play. Played between the acts of a long play, the interlude, treating intellectual rather than moral topics, often contained elements of satire or farce.  called Moonshadow, written around his old hits but sung by other performers.
