At a purchase price of SEK 17 million, Harry Sjogren AB has acquired a vacant warehouse and office property of 3,485 square metres situated in the Hogsbo-Sisjon industrial park in Gothenburg, in which district the company already owns several properties. The acquired property also includes a building permission, which allows the construction of additional 5,000 square metres of office premises.

In Gothenburg, in the district Linnestaden, Eklandia Fastighets AB has sold two residential properties with an area of in all 5,992 square metres to new housing co-operatives and a residential property of 1,083 square metres in the district Krokslatt. The sales price referring to the residential properties was SEK 69 million with a capital gain of SEK 29 million, of which SEK 26 million will be accounted for during the first quarter 2000.

So far this year Castellum has acquired properties at a total of SEK 217 million and sold properties at a total of SEK 204 million, with a capital gain of SEK 68 million.

Castellum, which is one of the major real estate companies in Sweden operating solely in the real estate sector, owns properties with a book value of SEK 10.2 billion. The total lettable area, which comprises commercial premises as well as residential housing, amounts to fully two million square metres. The real estate portfolio, which is owned and managed by six local subsidiaries, is concentrated in Greater Gothenburg, the Oresund region The Oresund Region (Danish: Øresundsregionen; Swedish: Öresundsregionen) is a transnational region in southern Scandinavia located by the shores of the Oresund strait and connected by the Oresund Bridge. , Greater Stockholm, Western Smaland and Malardalen.
