Castelle Announces LANpress Release 7.0 With HP JetAdmin Compatibility.

Castelle (Nasdaq:CSTLC) today announced LANpress 7.0, an updated software and firmware release for its LANpress print servers. The key feature of the LANpress Release 7.0 is compatibility with JetAdmin and Web JetAdmin print server management tools from Hewlett Packard Corporation (NYSE:HPW). Now users can manage both HP and Castelle print servers from one utility interface. JetAdmin support makes Castelle LANpress print servers a valuable second source for Hewlett Packard JetDirect print servers.

LANpress Release 7.0 also includes Embedded Web Administration and an enhanced Castelle LANpress Configuration and Management utility. Embedded Web Administration (HTTP) allows LANpress to be accessed and configured via any Internet Browser. This capability has given LANpress users great convenience and flexibility in terms of remote administration and monitoring of the device. The new LANpress Administration utility is designed for Windows 95/98 or Windows NT users to monitor and administrate LANpress devices with user selected protocols (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI).
