Choice of Either SMTP or Exchange/Outlook Direct E-mail Connectors

With either of these email-to-fax connections, FaxPress units can provide fax functionality to all popular e-mail systems such as Microsoft Exchange or any SMTP based e-mail system. With both connectors, users can simply compose a message including native file attachments and then send it to a distribution list comprised of both fax and e-mail recipients.

Exchange/Outlook Direct is an enhancement to Microsoft Outlook that makes Outlook a full featured fax server client. Unlike other solutions, Exchange/Outlook Direct doesn't burden the exchange server with fax image handling because the processing is performed on the fax server.

The SMTP gateway fax-enables any SMTP capable e-mail applications. Send and receive faxes with your current e-mail system such as Lotus Notes, Lotus cc:Mail, or Novell GroupWise. This transparent gateway allows users to receive and send personal faxes through their regular e-mail interface requiring no additional training.

FaxPress servers can be centrally monitored and controlled using the same process as other network devices in an enterprise network.

Multi Protocol Software Option

In today's corporate network environment, it is not uncommon for different departments or branches to use different network protocols. With the Multi Protocol software option, FaxPress units can be used in mixed IPX/SPX and TCP/IP environments. This option allows the FaxPress units to support both protocols simultaneously so that Novell NetWare users can communicate with FaxPress units connected to a TCP/IP network and vice versa.
