Castelle (Nasdaq:CSTLC), a leading provider of fax solutions for Fortune 1000 companies and small to medium-sized businesses, today announced the initial success of its FaxPress 7.0 network fax software, which was released in October 2002.

FaxPress 7.0 offers a number of key enhancements, particularly in the area of email integration. By integrating with Microsoft Exchange Messaging and groupware software for Windows from Microsoft. Exchange Server is an Internet-compliant e-mail system that runs under Windows NT/2000 and Windows Server 2003. It can be accessed by Web browsers, the Exchange client, versions of Outlook and the earlier Windows Inbox. , Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling. , Novell GroupWise GroupWise is a cross-platform collaborative software product from Novell, Inc. offering e-mail, calendaring, instant messaging and document management. A highlight of the FaxPress 7.0 software release is a new native gateway for Lotus Notes email integration, which allows Notes users to send and receive faxes through the FaxPress server without ever leaving the Notes client. Since familiar Notes commands are used to create, address and send the fax, fax messaging is as simple as sending an email. "This is a significant improvement to the FaxPress software and strengthens our feature offering," stated McDonald. "We are now able to reach new customers as well as provide additional gateway options to our current customers." Later this month, Castelle will showcase these new features at Lotusphere 2003 in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to Lotushpere, the Company recently presented at the Microsoft Exchange Conference and will present at Novell BrainShare in April 2003. FaxPress 7.0 builds on the existing FaxPress software to provide unprecedented fax messaging features for businesses of all sizes. The enhanced email gateway features are a major addition to the FaxPress arsenal and are one of the main reasons Castelle is able to attract new customers to its network fax servers.
