Castellano pays it Forward on the Lower East Side.


The Forward Building, former home of the preeminent Jewish Daily Forward newspaper, is being converted into new luxury condominiums by owner, developer and architect, Ronald T. Castellano, founder of Studio Castellano.

Castellano is the sole developer of the property, and sales will be handled exclusively by Michael Bolla of Forward Marketing, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

. The sales office will open in March 2006, and final construction will be completed by early summer. Situated in Manhattan's Lower East Side at 175 East Broadway between Jefferson and Rutgers Streets on the southeast corner, the 10 story building, which faces historic Seward Park Seward Park may refer to:

The property's new conversion will make way for 29 studios, one and two-bedroom lofts and one of downtown's most exquisite penthouses. Four commercial spaces situated in the lobby and mezzanine levels will offer luxury work space in one of the last authentic corners to remain in this rapidly burgeoning neighborhood. Castellano's new con version undertakes the most extensive restoration work in the building's 96-year history.

Architect John D. Nakrosis faithfully refurbished the facade. Nakrosis' firm also provided architectural and engineering services for the replacement of the terra cotta cot·ta

The facade's magnificent neo-classical stucco stucco (stŭk`ō), in architecture, a term loosely applied to various kinds of plasterwork, both exterior and interior. Buildings on its present site were opened in 1877. .
