Cast and Producers of FOX Hit ``THE O.C.'' Get Key to Newport Beach; Stars and Creators Immortalized in Cement.

Mayor of Newport Beach Proclaims "OC Thursdays"

With the highly anticipated premiere of their second season looming on the famous horizon of "THE O.C.," stars and creators of the runaway FOX hit will celebrate October 28 when Newport Beach Mayor Tod Ridgeway presents the key to the city and proclaims "OC Thursday." The proclamation will be presented in recognition of the show's move to its new Thursday night time slot, the city's starring role in the show, and the show's positive impact on tourism to the beach community. In addition to receiving the key to the city and the proclamation, cast and producers in attendance will be the first to be immortalized on the Newport Beach Walk of Fame by placing their handprints in cement at the historic Balboa Pavilion with the Balboa Peninsula as a backdrop.

"THE O.C."'s Josh Schwartz (Creator/Executive Producer), McG (Executive Producer), Stephanie Savage (Co-Executive Producer), Tate Donovan (Jimmy Cooper), Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan) and other cast members will be on hand for the event.
