Casio introduces new digital pianos and keyboards.

Casio, Inc. recently introduced three full-size portable keyboards with enhanced performance features, three new digital pianos for the home market and two new keyboards.

The new keyboard line-up includes the CTK-491, which is a five-octave, sixty-one-key full-size keyboard. It is designed for beginners and features a twelve-note polyphonic The ability to play back some number of musical notes simultaneously. For example, 16-voice polyphony means a total of 16 notes, or waveforms, can be played concurrently.  MIDI keyboard A MIDI keyboard is a piano-style digital keyboard device used for sending MIDI signals or commands to other devices connected to the same interface as the keyboard. MIDI is an acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface (protocol).  with on-screen on·screen or on-screen

Casio also recently introduced the WK-3000 and WK-3500 keyboards, featuring SmartMedia Data Storage; Internet Data Expansion System that lets users configure the keyboard to their specific needs using waveform and other data; and advanced ZPI sound source, drawbar organ, stereo piano and more.

The WK-3000 keyboard features seventy-six full-size keys, is touch sensitive (with on/off), is thirty-two-note polyphonic and MIDI compatible. The WK-3500 keyboard has the same features and functions as the WK-3000. It also has a built-in floppy disk drive floppy disk drive - disk drive  that supports playback of commercially available SMF (1) (Standard Messaging Format) An electronic mail format for Novell's MHS messaging system. The application puts the data into this format in order to send an e-mail message.  data and a line-out jack that can be hooked up to a PA system.

The new home model digital pianos include the AP-33, which features an eighty-eight note naturally scaled hammer action keyboard with three levels of touch sensitivity, and is sixty-four-note polyphonic. The AP-31 has all the features of the AP-33 with two separate pedals for dedicated damper, soft/sostenuto effects. The AP-38 is an eighty-eight-note naturally scaled hammer action keyboard with stereo sampled dual-element ZPI sound source. It is sixty-four-note polyphonic and features sixteen tones including grand piano 1/2, bright piano and honky-tonk piano, among other features.
