Casio introduces new Privia Digital Piano.

Casio recently unveiled its newest Privia Digital Piano A digital piano is a modern electronic musical instrument designed to serve primarily as an alternative to a traditional piano, both in the way it feels to play and in the sound produced. Some digital pianos are also designed to look like an acoustic piano. . The PX-700 blends the lightweight, compact nature of a Privia Digital Piano with the traditional components of a traditional cabinet piano. This new addition to the Privia line is the first with an integrated stand and three pedal pedal /ped·al/ (ped´'l) pertaining to the foot or feet.

Privia digital pianos, the newest digital piano line from Casio, offer a second-generation spring-less hammer system similar to those used in grand pianos, resulting in a sound practically identical to a baby grand piano. The PX-700 also incorporates revolving high-volume box-type speakers underneath the keyboard, which can be turned to face either the player or the audience. Extensive research into furniture making has allowed Casio to develop a stylish looking piano with a sliding key cover in the compact nature of the Privia series.

The PX-700 comes with 11 tones, split/layer, digital effects Synthetic sounds and animations created in the digital domain. Reverberation, morphing and transitions between video frames are examples.
