Casio, Inc., of Dover, NJ, a consumer electronics company, announced today that effective January 1, the popular CASSIOPEIA EM-500 Multimedia Pocket PC will be $399 after a $100 rebate that will be available at retail stores and through Casio's on-line store only in the U.S. (Canada residents should check out www.casiocanada.com for more information.)

Purchase the EM-500 between January 1, 2001 and March 31, 2001 and receive a $100 rebate by mail. Complete details, including restrictions on the rebate, can be found on Casio's web site (http://www.casio.com/images/rebates/EM500100_rebate.pdf), or at retail store displays.

The EM-500 is a slim design, has 16 MB of RAM and a 65,536 color TFT display, and includes MP3 and Windows(R) Media Player. Productive software such as Microsoft(R) Outlook, Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Money for Pocket PC, Pocket Internet Explorer, Pocket Streets and Reader for Pocket PC is also included. For web browsing and E-mail, an optional modem and ISP subscription is required and sold separately.
