NO sooner has the smelly stuff hit the whirly thing with the pounds 3billion increase in the costs of the 2012 Olympics, than Visa jump on the bandwagon as well.

In a time of financial turmoil, is it not rather irresponsible and perverse to be encouraging spending on the back of a sporting event, some three years distant?Why not go the whole hog and just print loads and loads of money, pass on debt directly, have inflation spiral out of control, and put the country right down the pan? Why don't the advertising watchdog clamp down harder where irresponsible credit is being promoted? Because, as we know, money makes the world go round.
