Blanchland Blanchland is a delightful model village in Northumberland, England, right on the County Durham boundary with picturesque houses, set against a backdrop of deep woods and open moors.

Located near the Derwent Reservoir, it provides excellent facilities for sailing and fishing.
 Tea Rooms has moved from a side street into the Old School House, in the centre of the village.

Farmer's wife, Jill Lumley, who has run the business for the last seven years, joined forces with her landlords, Lord Crewe's Charity, to draw up the plans for the move. The grant was won from Defra's Rural Enterprise Scheme.

Jon Williams, land agent for the charity, said: ``The grant means we can do a quality job to revamp re·vamp

1. To patch up or restore; renovate.

2. To revise or reconstruct (a manuscript, for example).

3. To vamp (a shoe) anew.
