MONEY has gone missing from police stations in North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England. - and officers have failed to search for some of the cash,it emerged last night. Auditors found deficits at three stations in the North Wales Police's Eastern Division during routine work last year. They recommended an investigation, but a critical report reveals this has not happened at one station. Although only pounds 79 is involved, police sources say the report will cause concern among senior officers. An insider said: ``There will be red faces over this report. The police service cannot be seen to be unable to account for any monies. The books must balance. I would expect a full investigation to be ordered into this matter.''
