POLICE are hunting for two women following a theft.

The incident happened at the Asda supermarket, on Lintonville Terrace, Ashington Coordinates:

Ashington is a town in Northumberland, England, with a population of around 28,000 people.
, at around 12.50pm on Thursday, July 9. A customer had used the self-service checkout to pay for their shopping but left the pounds 40 cash back they had requested in the machine.

The money was then taken and spent by the two women who used the checkout next.

Anyone with any information or thinks they may have witnessed the theft, is asked to call Northumbria Police Northumbria Police is the Home Office police force responsible for policing the areas of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear in England. The service is the sixth largest police constabulary in England or Wales. As of April 2005, the current Chief Constable is Mike Craik.  on 03456 043 043.
