The evening was in aid of North West Air Ambulance who had tried to save Daniel Haigh. Mr Haigh was the son of a former Mirfield pupil and died after a car crash in January. The former chef died in an accident on the M6 near Preston, on his way home from visiting family in Blackpool. His parents Sue Brown and Bob Haigh, and his widow, Glenda, were glad of the opportunity to thank the air ambulance service for their help. The fund was boosted by donations from Daniel's funeral. |
