Cash Minerals Appoints Basil Botha President & CEO.

TORONTO -- CASH MINERALS LTD. (TSX VENTURE:CHX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Basil Botha to the position of President & CEO. Mr. William (Bill) Clarke, outgoing President will take up the role of Chairman for Cash Minerals.

"We are pleased that an individual with the experience and calibre of Basil has accepted the position of President and CEO" stated Cash Chairman Bill Clarke. "His operational mining experience will provide critical expertise in developing Cash into an emerging energy company".

Mr. Botha brings more than 20 years international coal mining and marketing experience, primarily gained with Reef Coal Mining Ltd. in Johannesburg, South Africa. More recently, he has been based in Vancouver, BC, working as a Financial Advisor and Analyst with Reef Asset Management. Combined with his extensive knowledge dealing with coal beneficiation processes and ancillary by-products he specialized in mining operations, mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. He has a solid track record of taking resource companies and building them into primary producers.

During his time in South Africa, he was responsible for the development of three operational coal mines supplying 3.2 million tonnes of coal per annum to Sasol Secunda, the largest gasification fuel from coal producer in the world. He arranged marketing contracts with Goldfields Coal of South Africa, to distribute over 1 million tonnes of coal per annum into the South African market, following the break up of the Transvaal Coal Owners Association, and a further 600,000 tonnes per annum of metallurgical coal sold into the Japanese steel producing industry.

Mr. Botha pioneered the development of char producing plants in a joint venture program with Middleburg Steel and Alloys, producers of stainless steel (C3R-12). (Char is produced from metallurgical grade coal, volatiles are driven off under reducing atmospheric conditions and used as a primary reductant in the ferro-alloy industry).

Mr. Botha's focus will be to advance the Division Mountain Bankable Feasibility Study, currently being undertaken by Norwest Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah (see press release dated May 11, 2005).

"We are excited about the prospects for adding to our current resources over time " said Basil Botha. "Cash Minerals will be commencing a 1,200 metre drill program and recovery of a bulk sample by mid June and we anticipate that this will be concluded by early July. Comprehensive geotechnical data and technical analysis will be conducted from core samples. Further mapping will commence along strike, in August, and should be concluded by October. We are also expecting positive results on our uranium assets following a 2,800 metre June drill program on Bond, Igor and Pterd properties in Yukon".

"One of our prime objectives is to build a team of experienced professionals and position Cash Minerals as an emerging energy company." said Basil Botha. "A recruitment drive is already under way to employ a Vice President, Engineering and Vice President, Geology and we anticipate these positions will be filled by June to assist us in evaluating the drill program, currently planned for this period. Preliminary negotiations have been put in motion to recruit the services of a seasoned coal marketing professional with extensive knowledge of Pacific Rim coal markets. Our strategy will be to conduct an in-depth market survey within the Pacific Rim to best identify areas where we can best position the sale of PCI, metallurgical and thermal coal, as well as negotiate long term supply agreements into these markets. We will continue our current discussions with users in Japan, South Korea and India."

Cash Minerals - An emerging Energy Resource Company

Cash Minerals is an emerging energy resource company with coal assets and uranium exploration properties in The Yukon Territory. The Division Mountain Coal Project.

The deposit lies 20 km west of Highway 2 and Yukon's main power grid, and 290 km from the closest tidewater port at Skagway, Alaska. The Division Mountain project under study is owned 100% by Cash Minerals Ltd and consists of five Coal leases measuring 776.4 hectares and 22 Territorial Coal Exploration licenses covering 360,000 hectares. The exploration area covers 4,017 square kilometres of coal bearing stratigraphy. In addition to the exploration work, geologic and economic studies that have been conducted on the project, the Company has also carried out wide ranging environmental surveys in anticipation of application for mining permits as well as extensive consultation with local communities in the region, municipal, territorial and federal levels of government, including Champagne and Aishihik First Nations whereby both parties have agreed to consider possible joint venture projects (Division Mountain coal property borders with that of Champagne and Aishihik).

Uranium Assets

The Company has a right to earn an interest in six significant uranium projects in Yukon Territory, including four in the Wernecke Mountain area of northeastern Yukon and hosted in Proterozoic age iron-oxide rich breccia bodies that share numerous textural and mineralogical similarities to the IOCG deposit (Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold) model, which includes Olympic Dam, Ernest Henry and Candelaria. The other two uranium properties, (one in west-central and one in southeastern Yukon), are both hosted in Cretaceous granitic intrusions. These prospects are best viewed as bulk tonnage uranium targets, modeled on the Rossing Deposit in Southern Africa. All of the projects host uranium showings that were aggressively explored by majors in the late 1970s and early 1980s before uranium prices dropped.
