), the holding company for American Commercial Bank American Commercial Bank was formed in 1957 from the merger of Commercial Financial Bank and American Trust Co., in Charlotte, North Carolina. A predecessor to North Carolina National Bank (NCNB). , at its regularly scheduled meeting on Sept. 16, declared a $0.11 per share cash dividend to shareholders of record on Sept. 23, 1999, payable on Oct. 8, 1999.

Americorp previously reported semi-annual earnings of $1,077,000, or $0.52 per share through June 30, an increase of 25.2% over the $860,000, or $0.44 per share, earned for the first six months ending June 30, 1998.

Americorp Director Robert J. Lagomarsino Robert John "Bob" Lagomarsino (b. September 4, 1926) is a former Republican congressman from California. He was elected to the United States House of Representatives in a special election in 1974, replacing Charles M. Teague, who died in office.  added, "the local economy has been very favorable for loan growth and the bank has been able to take advantage of its larger lending limit in helping local businesses expand."

The announcement by the Board of Directors marks a record 64th consecutive cash dividend that Americorp has declared to its shareholders.

American Commercial Bank is the largest community bank with headquarters in Ventura County. The bank operates full-service branches in Ventura, Oxnard and Camarillo, along with a Mortgage Loan Division serving all of Ventura County. The bank recently relocated its Camarillo branch to 470 Arneill Road in Camarillo.
