"Nobody knows me!" exults the Boulder, Colo., resident. "I'm the invisible boy!" Yet his dance cut "Lesson of Love" is nominated next to the Pet Shop Boys and Boy George George Alan O'Dowd, better known as Boy George (born June 14, 1961 in Eltham, London) is a rock singer-songwriter. George grew up in a large, working-class Irish family, which originated in Thurles, in Co. Tipperary, Ireland. ; his "Picture Book" is up for Producer of the Year alongside the Indigo Girls Indigo Girls are an American folk rock duo, consisting of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. They got their start in Atlanta as a regular act at The Little 5 Points Pub and were tangentially part of the Athens, Georgia college rock scene that included The B-52's, Pylon, R.E.M. and Toshi Reagon Toshi Reagon (born in Atlanta in 1964) is an American folk/blues musician. She is the daughter of Sweet Honey in the Rock co-founder Bernice Johnson Reagon, with whom she has sometimes collaborated on musical projects. ; and he's on the short list for Male Artist of the Year. How does a guy with a homemade record wind up in such stellar company? "Providence," he says. The day before the GLAMA deadline Collins got an unsigned E-mail telling him how to submit his self-produced EP. He made it with just one hour to spare. Now his invisible days are numbered: He's also been invited to perform at the GLAMA ceremony, set to be held at New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
