Major National Mortgage Company to Tap CASA Scoring

for Loan Applications

Principal Residential Mortgage, Inc., the nation's 12th largest first mortgage loan originator and servicer as ranked by Inside Mortgage Finance, has selected Case Shiller Weiss (CSW) to implement a customized collateral risk assessment system. CSW is a unit of Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV).

The CASA(R) collateral scores solution will enable Principal Residential to optimize important aspects of its loan underwriting and appraisal quality control processes. According to Terry Loebs, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Services for CSW, the agreement represents a significant milestone in the automated valuation model (AVM) market, as Principal Residential--a leading originator of first-lien, government and conventional conforming loans--will use the CASA scoring solution within its pre-funding environment to assess collateral valuation risks associated with first-lien mortgage loan applications.

As part of the customized solution for Principal Residential, CSW will couple a "property flipping" fraud detection service with a unique collection of CASA scoring metrics specific to loan applications.
