Case IH Re-marketing Program Aims to Reassure Buyers."Selected by Case IH IH - International Harvester IH - Interstate Highway IH - Icelandic Horse IH - Idiopathic Hyperventilation IH - Immersion Heater IH - Improved Hawk IH - In-House IH - Incredible Hulk (comic character) IH - Independent Holder (classified documents/material) IH - Indian Hills (College in Iowa) IH - Induction Heating IH - Industrial Hygienist/Hygiene IH - Inert Head IH - Infectious Hepatitis" is a new program that will provide peace-of-mind for buyers of pre-owned Case IH agricultural equipment, according to Randy Wood, the company's product marketing manager for row-crop tractors and commercial re-marketing. The company-backed warranty covers the engine, transmission, axles and final drives, and the tractor comes with a non-deductible power train warranty of 12 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. "Buyers can be sure that the tractor is reconditioned not only to look 'as new' but to perform 'as new,'" he said. To earn the Selected by Case IH mark, the pre-owned equipment must pass rigid standards, Wood said. Tractors must be clean, well maintained and have low hours for basic eligibility. Then they are measured against a detailed performance and reliability checklist. The driveline, hydraulic and cooling system fluids and filters are drained and samples are sent to an independent testing lab for analysis. This determines the tractors that make the cut, Wood said. Then any parts or components that do not meet factory specifications are replaced, upgrading the tractor to current standards. Buyers receive copies of the tractor's reconditioning checklist, the independent lab's fluid analyses and an owner s manual. Tractors receiving the Selected by Case IH designation will be available exclusively through Case IH dealers, and the first reconditioned tractors will be available in dealerships in 2001. The program will initially be available only on 8900 Series Magnum tractors. Future plans call for extending the program to additional tractor models, combines and implements. |
