, ME:CAS) As previously announced, on Friday August 25, 1995 Cascades inc. ("Cascades") and Perkins Papers Ltd. ("Perkins") formerly concluded the transaction pursuant to which Perkins acquired all of the shares of Cascades' two subsidiaries which manufacture tissue paper and towelling at plants located in Kingsey Falls (Quebec) and Rockingham (North Carolina North Carolina, state in the SE United States. Effective immediately Perkins will be managed by a team of three senior executives made up of Mr. Laurent Lemaire who will act as President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Suzanne Blanchet who will act as Executive Vice-President and Rollo Bramwell who will act as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.

The new Board of Directors will include Messrs Bernard Lemaire Bernard Lemaire (born May 6, 1936) is a Canadian businessman. He is the Chairman of the Board of Cascades Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of packaging products, tissue products and fine papers products.  (Cascades Inc.), Laurent Lemaire (Cascades Inc.), Alain Lemaire (Cascades Inc.), Rollo Bramwell (Tarlav Inc.), Robert Keane (Abitibi Price Inc.) et Ms Suzanne Blanchet (Cascades Inc.).

Mr. Lemaire will be implementing a restructuring plan which is expected to allow the company to become profitable again over the coming quarters. As a first step a new management team was put in place at the Company's Candiac mill consisting of Mr. Luc Gauthier (mill manager), Mr. Daniel Gelineau (production manager), Mr. Jean Fortin (manager of human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. ) and Mr. Luc Ringuet (controller).
