Cascade Natural Gas Corporation Announces New Chief Operating Officer.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2003

Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (NYSE:CGC) today announced the appointment of William H. Odell to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer as part of a reorganization of its executive management structure.

Odell has been with Cascade for 17 years, beginning in the engineering group and more recently overseeing district operations, customer service, and residential and commercial sales. He received a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University of Washington.

Also as part of the reorganization, Larry E. Anderson, Vice President-Safety and Engineering, and King C. Oberg, Vice President-Business Development, have been offered early retirements. "I want to commend Larry and King," said Matsuyama. "Larry oversaw much of the construction that contributed toward more than tripling Cascade's utility plant during his 29 years of service. King worked hard to grow the Company's business with industrial customers, whose gas consumption has more than doubled since he joined Cascade in 1989.
