Cascade Announces Appointment of Robert Machlin; Will Drive Cascade's Marketing Strategy.


WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 7, 1994 -- Cascade Communications Cascade Communications was a Westford, Massachusetts based manufacturer of communications equipment. Founding

 Corp. today announced that Robert Machlin has joined the company as vice president of marketing.

In this newly-created role at Cascade, Machlin will drive the company's strategic planning, product marketing, product management, market development and marketing communications functions. Machlin will report directly to Desh Deshpande, Cascade's executive vice president.

Machlin has held similar positions at Coral Networks, a manufacturer of backbone routers, which was sold to SynOptics See Bay Networks.  Communications, and Amnet, a manufacturer of X.25 and Frame Relay WAN switches, which was sold to Netlink, Inc.

Earlier in his career he was director of marketing for LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area.
