Caruso Brings Tantalizing New Eateries and Stylish Retailers to Its Waterside Marina del Rey Retail Center.

LOS ANGELES -- Caruso Affiliated continues to enhance Los Angeles' vibrant Marina del Rey community with the addition of five new top-tier tenants at Waterside Marina del Rey. New restaurants include The Counter, Sugar Fish by Sushi Nozawa and Pinkberry and new shops, BCBG Max Azria and Calidora Skin Spa, expand an already diverse array of retail offerings.

Pinkberry, opening this spring, is an upscale chain of frozen dessert shops with a devoted following for its singular low-calorie deserts, smoothies and shaved ice. The Counter is a fresh, innovative take on the classic burger joint with patrons able to customize their orders with "build your own burger" menus. This is only the second location for The Counter, which is regularly at the top of the list of "best burgers" in Los Angeles. And for fish lovers, sushi restaurant Sugar Fish is renowned chef Kazunori Nozawas latest venture following the success of his Studio City restaurant. The Counter and Sugar Fish will open this summer, joining current favorites in the center including Le Marmiton, a popular French Bistro, Chipotle Mexican Grill and California Pizza Kitchen.

Calidora Skin Clinic brings its professional spa and skin care clinic to Waterside Marina del Rey. Specializing in anti-aging and personal care services, the staff provides skin treatments and consultations in a relaxing and luxurious Greek-inspired environment. BCBG Max Azria, one of the leaders in contemporary fashion, will open one of its signature boutiques offering its inspired selection of upscale women's clothing and accessories. These premier shops and services, expected to open this spring, will enhance the eclectic retail mix at the Waterside that include M. Fredric Woman and M. Fredric Man, White House/Black Market, Marmi Shoes, Brighton Collectibles and Theodore.

"The Waterside is an accessible and relaxing place where local residents and friends can browse fashionable shops tailored to any style, dine at a diverse array of restaurants and congregate in a comfortable seaside environment," said Russell.

Located adjacent to Lincoln Boulevard between Mindanao and Fiji Way, Caruso Affiliated acquired the 140,000-square-foot Waterside Marina del Rey in 2004 and embarked on an extensive $11 million renovation program. Reopened to rave reviews in fall 2005, the center now boasts more than 135,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and an outdoor dining and patio area. In addition to the interior landscaping, Caruso made significant perimeter landscaping improvements and added 130 parking spaces throughout the center. Anchoring the center is the 36,365-square-foot Ralphs Fresh Fare, which opened in the first quarter of 2006.
