Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art to Present J'en reve from June 24 - October 9, 2005.

 -- The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, based in Paris, will present J'en reve - an exhibition that will give the public an opportunity to view the works of artists in their twenties from around the world. The responsibility of finding and recommending these talented young people was given to several internationally-known artists who themselves have a personal history with the Foundation Cartier. Representing a wide range of disciplines, including photography, architecture, dance, and music, many of these young artists will be exhibiting their work for the very first time. Approximately 40 artists from among the 600 portfolios that have been sent to us will be chosen. The works selected shows the vitality vi·tal·i·ty

The exhibition explores: How does an artist living in Buenos Aires Buenos Aires (bwā`nəs ī`rēz, âr`ēz, Span. bwā`nōs ī`rās), city and federal district (1991 pop. , Cape Town Cape Town or Capetown, city (1991 pop. 854,616), legislative capital of South Africa and capital of Western Cape, a port on the Atlantic Ocean. Informal and spontaneous in spirit, the exhibition J'en reve provides a way of connecting those who have contributed to the history of the Cartier Foundation and those who will be a part of its future.

The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art is located at 261 boulevard Raspail in Paris. The Foundation's mission has been to present and reveal the work of living artists from all over the world to a broad public. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel Jean Nouvel (born 12 August 1945) is a French architect.

Born in Fumel, Lot-et-Garonne, he was educated at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was a founding member of Mars 1976 and Syndicat de l'Architecture.

A dynamic space for exchanging ideas and discussions, it has built up steady relationships with the artists, supporting their work through exhibitions as well as through commissions.
