Carter-Wallace announces Mark Wertlieb as Vice President, Taxes.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 1996--Carter-Wallace, Inc. (NYSE NYSE

:CAR) today announced that Mark Wertlieb, C.P.A., 40 years old, joined the Company as Vice President, Taxes.

In his new position, Mr. Wertlieb will report to Paul A. Veteri, Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He succeeds Donald J. Stack who has retired from the Company following 21 years of service.

Prior to joining Carter-Wallace, Mr. Wertlieb was employed with KPMG KPMG Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (accounting firm)

 Peat Marwick LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  since 1979. He was admitted to the Partnership in 1987 as Tax Partner after holding positions as Tax Manager and Auditor. In addition, Mr. Wertlieb has held the post of Adjunct Professor of Taxation at Fordham University Graduate School of Business since 1993.

Mr. Wertlieb received a B.A. degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Rutgers University and holds an M.B.A. in Taxation from Pace University Graduate School of Business.
