The first public release of a translator to Scheme by Matt Birkholz, Jim Miller, and Ron Weiss, written at Digital Equipment Corporation's Cambridge Research Laboratory runs G. Gerstmyer has been named president of its Wallace Laboratories Division, effective immediately. He replaces Herbert Sosman, who announced his decision to retire as of December 31, 1998, after over 21 years at Wallace Laboratories. Mr. Sosman will continue as Corporate Vice President, Pharmaceuticals, U.S., until his retirement. Mr. Gerstmyer joined Carter-Wallace as Vice President, Marketing, for Wallace Laboratories in July 1982, a position he has held since his appointment.
