 (Toronto, ON) has acquired the assets of Lexpert (Toronto, ON), Canada's largest online source of news and information about the business of law. No terms of the deal were gieven.

Lexpert's products and services include: Lexpert Magazine, a monthly that covers such topics as mergers and acquisitions, new and ongoing suits, law firm marketing, law department and law firm management, technology and human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. ; the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory; the Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada; the Lexpert/CCCA Corporate Counsel Directory and Year-book; and, the Lexpert Conference series. The company also maintains a legal transaction and lawsuit lawsuit: see procedure; tort.  database and web site.

Carswell said the deal signals its expansion into a wider range of services that include topical topical /top·i·cal/ (top´i-k'l) pertaining to a particular area, as a topical antiinfective applied to a certain area of the skin and affecting only the area to which it is applied.
