Carsten Lau Joins Stibo Catalog as Vice President of Marketing.

With new marketing leadership and additional sales, product content management solution and R&D experts Stibo Catalog will strengthen their market leadership as a provider of multi-channel marketing solutions for catalog-centric businesses in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Carsten Lau will now be responsible for worldwide marketing activities and the new VP of Marketing brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Stibo Catalog. Lau, who was born in Germany and has been living in the USA since 1993, was responsible for marketing at recently defunct Pindar Systems for the past three and a half years. Prior to Pindar Systems, Lau worked at Quark and MediaBridge (now part of JDA) in product management, business development and marketing. He holds a MA in International Studies from the University of Denver.

Furthermore, Stibo Catalog strengthened its already extensive expertise in multi-channel marketing when half of Pindar Systems' product management team, along with some of their leading developers joined Stibo Catalog in early April.

Lau has set ambitious goals for himself, aiming to build strategic relationships with other market leaders in the industry. Furthermore, he plans to open up the small-to-mid-size catalog market for Stibo Catalog through the active promotion of STEPconnect, Stibo Catalog's managed solution for businesses that need to manage complex product data but lack the production and IT resources to manage growing catalog production internally.

Another former Pindar Systems employee who joined Stibo Catalog is Cedric Drouot, who will represent Stibo Catalog in Southern Europe and most predominantly, in France. Dan Korsgaard explained: "We are optimistic that our expansion into the French and Southern European markets will be equally as successful as our market entry into Germany was for us four years ago."
