Celebrating a distinctly American endeavor -- the road trip -- CarsDirect.com today kicked off the American Highways Sweepstakes Series: California Wine Country tour.

 will be announced in August 2000. The contest is open to U.S. licensed drivers, age 25 or older.

All online entrants will have the opportunity to earn up to 22 entries in the sweepstakes. Entrants receive one entry for submitting registration and another after clicking to the CarsDirect.com "Choose a Vehicle" page. Entrants may also refer their friends via e-mail and will receive two additional entries for each friend who completes registration.
