Cars damaged in spree.


DOZENS of cars have been damaged during a vandalism The intentional and malicious destruction of or damage to the property of another.

The intentional destruction of property is popularly referred to as vandalism. It includes behavior such as breaking windows, slashing tires, spray painting a wall with graffiti, and
 spree in a Northumberland village.

Police are appealing for information following the incident in Ellington.

The damage happened between midnight on Tuesday and 6am Wednesday and involved a significant number of cars having their tyres punctured punc·ture  
v. punc·tured, punc·tur·ing, punc·tures

v.tr.
1. To pierce with a pointed object.

2. To make (a hole) by piercing.

3. To cause to collapse by piercing.
. The damage all occurred in the Ellington village area.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact police on 03456 043 043 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

The incidents follow a number of similar problems in nearby Lynemouth..
