Carrius Launches Its Compleat Family of VoIP Solutions for Telecom Carriers.

CHICAGO & RICHARDSON, Texas -- Carrius Technologies, Inc. has announced the launch of its Compleat(TM) family of VoIP products for the telecom service providers. These products provide the industry with solutions that facilitate new IP-based business models by accelerating transition to an all-IP network, and by taking full advantage of new all-IP network efficiencies. Carrius will be presenting the Compleat family at SuperComm, South Hall, Booth 21736.

The Compleat family initially consists of four discrete product offerings:

The Compleat-100 is an IP-based programmable network services platform. Solution providers use this system to build IP and TDM applications (e.g., Calling Card Services, Contact Centers, Conferencing, Voice Mail, etc.) using the Carrius Applications Program Interface (API). This system also supports existing applications which were developed on the now-discontinued SummaFour systems.

The Compleat-200 is an intelligent IP gateway. This system provides the functionality necessary for efficient IP network interconnection and peering. It works as a stand-alone gateway or with Application Feature Servers via NG APIs (SIP now, with Parlay, JAIN, and others in the future.) It also contains a TDM fabric to support TDM gateway functionalities. Additionally, service providers can extend or enhance their standards-based applications with the Carrius API.

The Compleat-300 is a broadband switch. It provides telecom operators with an effective means to transition legacy switching systems to VoIP, with the following capabilities:

--GR-303 and TR-008 interfaces to Class 5 switching systems to enable extending Class 5 business group (e.g., Centrex) and residential services to subtending users via IP.

--Interfaces with 3rd party application feature servers to extend additional enhanced/hosted broadband services to both business and residential subscribers.

--Interfaces with existing OS systems (e.g., Telcordia) for the above capabilities.

The Compleat-400 is an IP access gateway which serves as an integrated Digital Terminal (IDT) to enable converting GR-303/TR-008 DLC traffic to IP, and to place existing DLC lines under Softswitch/packet control.

The Compleat-100 and Compleat-200 systems are available for deployment now. The Compleat-300 system will be available for trials in third quarter of 2004, and will be followed by Compleat-400.
